The parking lot is badly lit and attempts to cut corners when walking to the building from the back 40 can be tough due to random swamps. There's acres of it, but disabled parking is sprinkled around and hard to find. The concert was a riot and a lot of attendees were still lauging as we headed out the door. Went to Hard Rock Casino in Wheatland for the Bill Maher concert. I would definitely veer off the I5 if in the area again to stay.… Only disappointments were pool closed and gym had no towels or washroom but otherwise was well equipped. Lots of choices for slots to play around for a few hours. I thought all the food and drinks were reasonably priced. Steakhouse and buffet were closed (Wednesday night - no events) but we were happy with our options of Youyu, Hard Rock Cafe, and coffee house. Cecelia was our server and took great care of us.

Our room was facing the back mountains and was very nice, clean, quiet and comfortable.

We saw security and felt our car was safe. We were pleasantly surprised to find Tesla destination supercharging in the back parking as well as other EV charging. Front desk staff were helpful, efficient and friendly and this carried on with all the staff we encountered on our stay. You do veer off the I5 for a bit, but we were still heading North. We were heading from Palm Springs back to Vancouver and wanted to get past Sacramento and found the Hard Rock. If you have reason to be in this area, the Hard Rock is a good place to stay.… But I noticed that it was very busy all evening, with lines waiting to get in. Maybe it's what I ordered, but I didn't expect teriyaki chicken to be breaded and deep-fried (!) and the xiao long bao were terrible - thick doughy wrapper, no soup inside, and no dipping sauce. Probably the worst Chinese food I've had in a long time. I ate at Youyu, and was surprised at how bad it was. The location is kind of in the middle of nowhere. Came back at 3 to find a line of people waiting to check in. Unlike most places where you can check in even if your room isn't ready, they told me they couldn't and I'd have to come back in an hour or two.

Service was pleasant and welcoming, though they seem a bit understaffed, particularly at the bell desk. It was very clean and nice, with a comfortable bed, good lighting, plenty of charging outlets, and a spacious bathroom. I spent one night at the Hard Rock when I attended a concert.
